General Questions

What self-defence skills do participants learn?

Is sparring involved?

No. All training is non-competitive and non-contact except for pad striking.

Is the programme suitable for beginners?

Yes — all exercises are progressive and safe for absolute beginners.

SCHOOL PROGRAMMES

What age groups is Jujitsucise suitable for?

Jujitsucise is designed for KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. It works effectively with boys, girls, PRUs and SEND settings.

Do students need any fitness or martial arts experience?

No. Jujitsucise sessions are fully inclusive and tailored to all abilities, from complete beginners to physically active students.

Is Jujitsucise safe for children?

Yes. Sessions are structured, controlled, and delivered by Mark Saunders — a qualified teacher, safeguarding trained, DSL experienced, Level 3 PT, and self-defence instructor.

How long is a school session?

Schools can book PE sessions, lunch clubs, after-school clubs, workshops, or full Personal Development Days depending on their timetable.

How does Jujitsucise support behaviour and SEMH needs?

Sessions improve emotional regulation, confidence, discipline, and focus. The routine-based format helps reduce anxiety, increase engagement, and support SEMH goals.

Can we book Jujitsucise for the final weeks of term?

Yes — Jujitsucise offers high-impact, behaviour-boosting sessions perfect for the final weeks before Christmas, SATS, or summer.

Does this align with Ofsted and ISI frameworks?

Yes. Jujitsucise supports Physical Wellbeing, SMSC, Safeguarding, Character Education, and Personal Development.

How many students can take part?

Group size varies depending on space, but most schools run sessions with 25–35 students per class.

What equipment do we need to provide?

A hall, studio, or sports space is ideal. All specialist pads and training equipment are brought by the trainer.

Do you work with SEND and PRUs?

Yes — Jujitsucise is highly effective for SEND, PRUs, SEMH, and behaviour support groups.

Do staff need to be physically fit?

No. Sessions are inclusive and adapted to all fitness levels.

Do you come to our workplace?
